I have possibly the worst pronating feet my practitioner had seen in all the years she's been doing GaitScans. The assessment was easy, stand up, walk across the room over the Gait Scanner and have an overall look at my skeletal alignment. A few weeks later and they arrived. A couple of weeks in and I felt like I had new, properly functioning feet. Obviously they are an investment as they are not the cheapest things in the world but I urge anyone who has foot trouble to spend the money! The guarantees given by TOG mean you know you can send them off and get them replaced if they are faulty. The re-lining is pretty cheap and if done annually makes sure they smell fresh and feel like new again.
[More...] I cannot believe the difference they have made to my life. I was a 22 year old who was more concerned with his feet because of the pain I used to get before I got these (I have always had trouble with my feet from the day I was born when they thought my only hope of walking was to snap my ankle and reset them). Now I am a much happier 24 year old who doesn't have to think any more about if I walk for ages how long am I going to be in pain for and not a knife has had to come anywhere near my feet.
[More...] They are so good I have bought 2 pairs. That way I never have to be without when I get them re-lined. Last Christmas I realised how much of a difference they were making as I sent my pair off and I was without them for a few weeks as the snow delayed the relining and postage. I was miserable for weeks and vowed I would never put myself in that position again. As soon as mine were returned I ordered a second pair and haven't ever begrudged paying for them."

Jag är delägare i Fysiomedicinska kliniken i Malmö. På kliniken finns naprapater, sjukgymnast, osteopat och massageterapeuter. Tidigare har jag haft kliniker i Kiruna, Arvidsjaur och Spanien.
Sedan ett år har jag använt inlägg från TOG och jag är väldigt nöjd med dem. De är av hög kvalitet och ger det stöd jag behöver.
Jag överpronerar, har nedtrampade främre fotvalv och hade tidigare ofta värk i framfoten.
Sedan jag började använda inläggen har jag numera sällan värk. Jag använder inläggen varje dag.
Pelotten är rätt placerad i inläggen från TOG och de har ett välanpassat stöd för det längsgående fotvalvet som samtidigt tillåter en god rörlighet för foten.

In 2006 I made a very wise decision to purchase the TOG Gaitscan system. Physically, as an Osteopath, I was finding it harder to maintain the same level of output due to the strain on my body.
Adding TOG to my clinic allowed for greater diversity, not only in terms of taking physical pressure off myself, but in providing a greater scope of treatment options to my existing patients.
I no longer needed to refer people to other third parties to have orthotics prescribed. This previously referred 'potential' income, was now also 'real'
and the benefits to the bottom line were immediately evident and strong!!
I was a little hesitant at first, as TOG Gaitscan isn't cheap, however after paying off my investment in about 4 weeks, I was left with little to fear! And was glad I invested in this technology!
I can only recommend this product and the support that goes with it. Paul, Eilish, Cliona and the Team have been great to work with over my time in Ireland and have given me immense support.

- My colleague a podiatrist introduced me to the TOG Gait scan system as a new method of prescribing orthotics.
Having been somewhat of a traditional Podiatrist taking very detailed measurements and angles. I was a little shocked that he was taking the plunge to use a computer system and footplate to prescribe Orthotics.
To be honest initially I was a little sceptical, having seen various other foot scanning devices and not been too impressed. It was then that my colleague went through the gait scan with me, scanned my feet and showed me how it worked, I soon realised that this was not like the others!
I had never seen such detailed scans showing so accurately what was happening with the foot biomechanically. I attended a fantastic seminar which educated me further on prescription made orthotics; the TOG approach is simple and doesn’t over complicate things, something that has made me shy away from foot biomechanics and orthotics in the past.
As an Osteopath we are trained to recognise when to refer and I have done with my colleague the Podiatrist, since my patients have received the TOG orthotics, the feedback has been wonderful.
Sometimes a patient presents with a problem that you just know has got something to do with their feet even if it’s a pain in their back. Now I can refer my patients with confidence to my Podiatrist colleague but I too am keen to start using the Gait scan system myself, due to its simplicity but also as such a powerful diagnostic tool for patients who may need orthotics.

- I have been using the TOG GaitScan system for over 5 years now and can say with confidence that the system has improved the accuracy of my examinations and increased my patient numbers three fold over the years. - I have used TOG GaitScan in my practice for the past 5 years and have found it a huge success in both treating patients and marketing my practice.
I was approached by a colleague who had been referring patients for orthotics to my clinic to set up a "day clinic" at their own clinic. I subsequently purchased a second system for my "consulting days" and had this system paid for in about three months! I have had great success in both attracting new patients to the clinic and to other people's clinics.
I have great satisfaction with the quality of the product and service TOG International provides; Patient satisfaction is a big concern to me and I can say that I have had only positive feedback and satisfaction from patients, even with complex cases that require adjustments and revisions to the orthotics and treatment.

- During my studies, I had a keen interest in feet and wrote my thesis on ankle injuries. A few years into practice, having carried out much research and attended numerous seminars on foot biomechanics, I decided to move it to another level. I purchased my first GaitScan system back in 2004 when I was running three clinics in Manchester, UK. There was such an increased demand for orthotics that we invested in a second system shortly afterwards.
I personally find the GaitScan very user-friendly and the quality of the orthotics is second to none. Most importantly, my patients love them! As a chiropractor, I know that orthotics are not restricted to treating disorders of the feet, but they can also be used to correct knee, hip and spinal problems. Therefore, I believe that I can offer a better service to my patients by evaluating foot and gait mechanics.
I have recently relocated to Norway and have bought a third system to use in our clinic in Bryn, Oslo. This is one of the first systems in Norway and I believe the demand here is great.

- There is nothing between you and planet earth, except the soles of your feet - and anything that comes between that pair will impact on everything above it. There is no point in saying that orthotics don't work because worldwide acceptance and academic research has proven that they do. TOG International have the ability to provide you with a truly professional service.
The range that they produce is quite honestly, superb and it has the ability to change and alter with the needs and ideas of the professional that uses it. The basic product is faultless- the standard is high - the laboratory moves to your demands and never holds you back.
I have studied orthoses for almost 25 years and I still use various laboratories for what I want but 95% of what I prescribe comes out of TOG. The product is sound - excellent durability with extrinsic posting that is effective 4 and 5 years later! -that hasn't been the case since Rohadur! The shells flex with the axis of the foot - how good is that? And how hard to achieve!! but yet the breakage rate is so small that it really is not a worry - I estimate less than 10 in 5 years of steady orders.
In my view the product is the number one item for both patient and clinician. Second on the list is support and with TOG International, this has been faultless. From ordering to delivery, accounts, revisions, repairs, advice when you need it to technological support - there is just nothing to equal what this laboratory have achieved.
Did I mention technology? I first became aware of TOG in 1996 when I spotted the lab up in Markham county while on a holiday in Ontario. I became fully aware of what they were doing in 2002 and the technology that they have perfected is more than I expected from all of the seminars and courses that I had attended in the years before this.
Don't get me wrong - there are some aspects of orthotic assessment that have not changed despite the superb technology that TOG have introduced me to. There is no substitute for sound clinical reasoning and anthropometric measurement - at least not yet! This group are getting close.

- "A few years ago I was riding at high speed, on a spooked horse, when I was thrown from my horse and rolled down a ravine. I injured my back severely and had pain and tingling in my legs. Pain killers kept me going, but I had to give up riding. I saw an osteopath and a chiropractor to try to ease the pain. - In May 2007 Hannah Shields became the first Northern Irish woman to conquer Mt. Everest. Hannah reached the roof of the world four years on from her first attempt when she had to turn back while just 100 feet from the summit.
Hannah, an experienced adventurer, previously finished second in the Polar Challenge, a race to the Magnetic North Pole in which 56 teams competed.
She is currently in training for the Amundsen Omega 3 race to the Geographic South Pole set to take place in December 2008.
