New Wimbledon champion Rafael Nadal proved that orthotic therapy and higher athletic performance go hand in hand when he lifted the Wimbledon crown this year.
It was in a superb performance in his semi-final match up with Rainer Schuettler that Nadal put orthotic therapy firmly in the sporting publics eyes.
Nadal has had a serious injury problem with his right foot which, without the help of orthotic therapy and specialised insoles, may have affected his career.
It was during this semi-final that Wimbledon commentators, and former tennis greats, John McEnroe and Borris Becker made comments about Nadals specialised Foot Orthotics (Insoles) with McEnroe saying “if these were around when I was playing I would have paid a small fortune for them, and they would have been worth every penny!”
With his injury worries put to the back of his mind due to the help of his orthotics, Nadal went on to lift the Wimbledon title in and epic final in which he beat ex Wimbledon champion Roger Federer.
